Do I have to write the placement test?

The placement test will take place on the 17th of February 2012. If a student has no knowledge of Greek, he/she will attend the Elementary level of lessons. If a student has some knowledge of Greek, he/she must write a placement test.
Students who have attended the first semester and wish to attend the second semester will continue at the next level.

Can I have more information about the Greek lessons?

Greek Lessons for Erasmus students take place from 18:00-21:00, two times a week. The Greek lessons are divided into two semesters. You can choose to enroll in either semester or both. Participation in each semester is awarded with 6 credits (for two semesters a total of 12 credits are awarded). Students will receive a certificate after each semester (a certificate with a total of 12 credits will not be issued under any circumstances).
Please note that students who have enrolled in the first semester and wish to attend the second semester MUST register again during the registration dates for the second semester. To register, a photocopy of your student card is required.

How do I know into which class and/or level I have been placed?

The results (and the details about the classrooms) will be pinned on the bulletin board on the 20th of February 2012.

What is the duration of the course?

For the second semester the lessons will begin on the 20th of February 2012 and end on the 31st of May 2012.

My lesson times clash with the Greek lessons. What can I do?

If you will miss many classes because of a clash in your timetable, it is better not to at¬tend the language course. Please note that once you have registered, attendance for the lessons is compulsory. If you miss more than 80% of the lessons, you will not be permit¬ted to write the final examination after each semester and you will not be awarded credits for the course.
