HOW TO APPLY

Erasmus Studies

Before leaving home country all Erasmus incoming students for studies must send to the Erasmus Office [by e-mail, fax or ordinary mail]:
  • the completed Application form
  • a certificate from their home University -if no prior nomination from their home University has been sent by e-mail- stating that they have been selected to study at the University of Athens under the Erasmus programme and mentioning the field of study and period of stay.

The application deadlines for incoming students are:
July 15th, 2011 for the 1st semester (winter semester)
December 23rd, 2011 for the 2nd semester (spring semester).

In order to select the courses of their personal programme of study, students should always discuss with their home coordinator according to the requirements of the study plan of their home university. Students are also advised to discuss this topic with the Departmental Coordinator of the University of Athens.  After the selection of courses they must fill in their Learning Agreement (which can be obtained by the Erasmus Office of their home institution) and have it signed by both the Departmental and Institutional Coordinator of both universities.
Please note that the ECTS system is used in most of the faculties of the University of Athens.  Information about the allocation of credits can be obtained either by the website or by the departmental coordinator of the faculty.

Erasmus Placement

Students who are going to be registered at a Faculty of the University of Athens for a training period (as opposed to a study period) must send to the Erasmus Office:
  • a completed Erasmus Placement Application Form
  • a certificate from the student’s home university -if no prior nomination mail has been already sent by the home university- stating that the student has been selected to register at a Faculty of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for a specific period under the Erasmus Placement programme
  • a Training Agreement signed by the departmental coordinator of the host university
